INTERNATIONAL MELGES 32 CLASS MEMBERSHIP

All competing teams in Key West, must have a valid 2009 Class Membership in order to be considered legal to race. Visit the class online today and make sure that your membership is current. Activate or Renew your 2009 IM32CA Membership.

SAIL DECLARATIONS
All Sail Declarations must be received by the IM32CA at the close of registration on Sunday. IM32CA Administrator Joy Dunigan will be available at registration on Saturday (1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) and Sunday (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). For questions, please phone Joy at +1 (912) 398-5776 or e-mail.

If you are planning to compete at ACURA Key West 2009 later this month, please know that crew declarations are due TODAY! Email your declarations to IM32CA Class Admin Joy Dunigan or, fax to +1 (912) 756-6728.

Every team must submit a Crew Declaration, an Owners Declaration. All Sail Declarations can be turned in at the time of registration in Key West. Pre-registration is Friday, January 16 from 13:00 – 18:00, Saturday January 17 from 09:00-18:00 and again on Sunday, January 18 from 09:00-17:00.

Skipper’s Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 18 at 17:00.

Melges Performance Sailboats once again is hosting another competitive bash of fun — another Melges Rocks Party will happen in Key West! On Wednesday, January 21 at 8:30 p.m. – until at the Island Dogs Bar (same location as 2008) is where the fun will be. Traveling all the way from Chicago, Ill. ‘Hello Dave!’ will be back on the stage ready to take the Melges fleet into 2009 in style! Stay tuned to this blog as more announcements will be made as we draw closer to ACURA Key West 2009.

International Melges 32 Class Association Crew Declarations are due Friday, January 2nd for ACURA Key West 2009, Event No. 2 of the Melges 32 Midwinter Championship Series.

Sail Declarations can be supplied at registration in Key West, Sunday January 18 – 09:00-17:00.

Twelve Melges 32s have signed up to compete. At the Owner’s Meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. it was acknowledged that at minimum seven more teams were planning to attend! So what are you waiting for!

ACURA Key West 2009 is event No. 2 in the 2009 Melges 32 Midwinter Championship Series.

All teams participating at ACURA Key West 2009 are encouraged to contact the Galleon Marina to confirm/re-confirm slip reservations. The class has been informed that a new policy has been implemented requiring that a credit card deposit must be supplied to formally confirm your reservation. In the past, the Galleon has provided a fax during in early to mid-December requesting boat & billing information. Apparently the Galleon has new software that uploads data from the previous year, but does not confirm a slip reservation until the owner/captain has provided a credit card number. If you are planning on mooring at the Galleon, you are encouraged to contact them ASAP.
