The racing has concluded in Ft. Lauderdale at the 2009 Melges 32 Gold Cup Regatta with Rod Jabin on Ramrod from Annapolis, Md. as champion! Nice going Rod! In second overall is current U.S. National Champion Andy Lovell (New Orleans, La.) on Rougarou. Rounding out the top three is Joe Woods from Torquay, UK on Red.

WAY TO GO!!!
This is Kate’s Mom writing, and I can’t tell you how cool I think this is. Thought you were going for a little practice race, huh? Only 2 Annapolis shake-downs as a crew, and look what you did. It made for a fun weekend checking into the Melges web site.
Congratulations, but next time make Kate wear a life jacket.
