Teams are on their way to the course for day 2 of the 2009 North Americans… Drop dead gorgeous conditions are in effect, lots of sunshine, flat water and lighter conditions. Temps in the low 70s. Perfect!

NAC : Day 2

The second day or racing at the 2009 Melges 32 North American Championship is dawning. In the overnight lead is John Kilroy and his Samba Pa Ti crew. They did an awesome job of racing taking home a 1-1-2 score. They are four points ahead of locals Don Jesberg on Viva and Stephen Pugh on Taboo.

Stay close as well attempt to bring you all the action from the water!

Immediately following the racing today, the Sausalito Yacht Club will host a Melges 32 North American Championship Bar-B-Que at the club — lots of food, beer and drink well into the evening!

2009 North Americans Is ON!

The 2009 Melges 32 North American Championship is officially underway. Today, all seven teams weighed in and have completed registration. Right now they are out practicing, trying to get a real feel for the conditions that await competition on Sunday – the first day of racing.
